If found early, adrenal cancer is curable, however, if the cancer has spread outside the gland, cure becomes less likely but progression can be delayed. Treatment of adrenal cancer usually involves surgery to remove all of the cancer. Other treatments might be used to prevent the cancer from coming back or if surgery isn't an option. Dr. Raghunath will suggest the most appropriate treatment plan suitable for you.
- Surgery called adrenalectomy (removal of the entire affected adrenal gland) can be done to remove the entire cancer
- Radiation therapy can be given to kill the remaining cancer cells
- Chemotherapy can be an option to slow the progression of the cancer or kill any remaining cancer cells
